What “Green” Means?
Recycled, recyclable, biodegradable. This means that less things will end up in landfills. From dog beds and plush toys made from 100% recycled plastic bottles to balls and bones that are 100% recyclable and poo pick up bags that are 100% biodegradable. Even a lot of the manufacturer packaging has been made from recycled products and is recyclable or compostable!
All natural and organic ingredients. We are always seeking out products that are made with ingredients that are free of chemical pesticides and fertilizers.
Local products. It simply costs less to deliver a product 100 miles than it does 1000 miles. If we can’t find a product that we want to carry in the traditional “green” form, then we look for it locally…making its trip to the store a greener one.
Sustainable products. Because they are fast growing and do not need chemical fertilizers and herbicides to survive, bamboo and hemp are revolutionizing the way we think about fabric.
Durable products. It’s simple…the longer a product lasts, the less frequently it gets tossed into a landfill. We search high and low for products that will last longer. And bonus for you – in the long run, they end up saving you money because you have to replace them less frequently.
